What I do is try to focus on the positive, develop a gratitude attitude, and reach out to others.

I've heard of a concept called the love basket, and you have to do things to fill others' baskets, and they do things to fill your basket. If you don't help out others, you won't get much yourself. The trick is that you can't do something for someone in order that they will do something for you (or to get them to do it). But the more you do for others, the more they will want to do for you.

If there is a reason for your sadness, than you can figure out (maybe with help from friends or a professional) how to deal with it and move on. If it's just a feeling that doesn't go away, then maybe it's clinical or chemical. Just don't try to self-diagnose or self-treat with drugs, alcohol, or other addictions.
Best of luck!

The earth is a geological record of physical upheavals. There are lands that were under water and there are parcels that were in the bellies of molten volcanoes now forming our landmasses. The earth survived upheavals. The Torah is a record of generations of obedient and disobedient peoples. It documents the ones that survived and why and lists the ones that perished and the reasons also. If you do not read Hebrew, then pretty good translations plus the confirmations of covenant wirtnesses exist in most languages under the names of Bibles. They are generational records of a family that God purged to bring forth obedient seed. There is no problem on earth that was not covered previously in it and the wonderful thing about the book is that all the solutions are given. If you want a more detailed book on how to spot negative energies--The Golden Fleece Found by Basil Hill maps the paths of spiritual energies on earth and shows that energy is intelligent and will gravitate to spiritual hotspots. Human beings are conduits, special places on earth are conduits. He teaches how to analyze and eradicate negative energhies. He also directs persons to the specific Torah references. He also gives Koran references for Muslim persons and Bible references for those familiar with the Bible. One passage which encouraged me is where he quotes that you cannot be a victor unless you overcome all types of adversities. The beautiful thing is that he gives you a step by step guide.
Since his book describes humans as spirits walking either obediently or disobediently in earth suits, my question is this: since the parent earth survived, why can't we?
Begin by doing nice things to strangers and watch how good seeds bear goodly fruits. Feed some homeless people--it works wonders.

Mediation. Exercise. Spend time with my dogs...absolute love with no strings attached always helps. Get lost in a good book. Take a bubble bath, while reading a trashy novel, sipping wine, having some dark chocolate, and listening to classical music. Go for a walk in the park...preferably with the dogs...and no other people.

When I lived in Arizona, I'd hike to a remote place, stand on top of a mountain, and scream.

i ususally just write. Keeping a journal helps me to log my feelings so that i can look back on it later and see what was wrong and it releives a lot of stress off of me to just let it all out. Some people use art as a form of finding that inner peace also i guess it all depends on what u like to do just do something that u enjoy doing and it should bring you right back to the peace that u are searching for.

I do things for me. Do something that has no effect on anybody else, that way you don't have to worry about input or criticism. I'll do something that I'll be proud of when I'm done. Usually, it's getting in touch with my creative side, like painting, drawing, and writing. Or I'll do something that will make you feel accomplished, like reading a book or cooking that recipe you've been dying to try.

To cope with stress, I try to take some time out and relax. It usually doesn't work, though. Really, I think the best remedy for stress is to hang out with people who are funny. Comedy seems to make everything better.

Sometimes everything seems so complicated and simple, unsolvable and inexorable at the same time, but no matter how compelling the case for our misery, if we focus on something outside our inner reality, we can cope. For me, it's the people I love that motivate me to try again, when everything seems to be stacked against me.

I just focus on the good. I've got my mom and brother to help me through anything, I've got my amazing boyfriend, I've got a home and food and clothes- no matter how bad things are, if I spend time reminding myself about all of the good things I start to feel much better.
