There is a FIFA World Cup for women every 4 years since 1991. Close to 100 teams enter and the top 16 will qualify for Germany 2011. The men's world cup had 16 teams in the finals until 1978. So what is your problem?

2007 in China (they were supposed to have the 2003 WWC but the SARS epidemic forced FIFA to move it to the USA)
GO USA WOMEN'S NATIONAL TEAM!! They won 2 out of the 4 (other two are 3rd places finishes) and have 2 of the 3 olympic golds (the other is a silver)

who cares, really i mean with all due respect to female sports, i think that football is too violent for ladies so leagues where women get all smashed and broken will never be supported as much as the men's. Beside, men are biologically more capable in physical matters in comparison to women.
