Why is it that kids are having sex at younger ages and what can we do to stop it?

I think that kids having sex now at early ages will effect the future andgenerations to come.

Plus they are not being careful not using protection and preading around the hiv virus.

i'm 16 so i hope u can trust my opinion. not ever kid is having sex. i'm not. i know U R not gonna believe that but it's true...i'm not. just about all my friends who are do use a condom...2 get pregnant at my skool would make u a social outcast. there are some kids who do have a STD but that happens with adults as well. the things on t.v. that we see don't help the situation either. we are taught that we have to have sex otherwise we won't be excepted. so 2 answer ur question...most kids are having sex at a young age because the things we see on t.v. are telling us that it is ok and our parents aren't telling us otherwise.

It's because of all the messages being sent to them by music artists and celebrities, peer pressure, it's been labeled as cool and grown up by those rotten people who put these ideas into the minds of youth. Young girls are being sexualized through anime, fashion, etc... Society is eroding because of those 'anything goes' people who run the social mindset. It's unfortunate. Mothers need to help their daughters learn to respect themselves in the way they act. Father's need to teach their son's to respect girls. And, there needs to be a rebuking of the popular culture that further erodes standards.

I agree with you but with today's lack of discipline parents are unable to incorporate disciplinary tactics. Of course the liberals would say that harsh discipline affects the minds of young people so this is a losing tendency and our youth will be doomed to a less decent life than in our times

This really isn't anything new, we just hear about it more now these days. It isn't so much that parents aren't watching their kids it's that they aren't educating them...they leave that job to school and their favorite baby sitter; Television. Parents who talk to there children about today's issues are much more likely to have kids that make better decisions.
