I personally think that internet relationships are doomed from the start. Lets face it, we are living in a world where every other word is a lie. Not everyone is like that, but most people are, and you might never know if they are lying to you, especially over the net. You could be talking to someone on the internet and being as honest as you've ever been, and they could be lying and laughing at you the whole time. You just never know who you're going to meet on the internet, so personally, I am against the online dating.

doesnt work...of course theres always a few ppl who r gonna say its awesome it worked out 4 me so it can 4 u but it pry has less then 1% chance of workin if its just ova the net...i mean even if 1 says sumthin they will nvr be able 2 prove it so i guess if it were 2 work both would hafta 2 be extremely faithful and trusting

It's no relationship at all. Just conversation. You can't have a relationship with someone you don't know and have never met.

As a side note, it's extremely dangerous. That other person on the computer could be ANYONE and you could be in extreme danger from pedophiles.

Well it okay but I would think it would be more fun in person.
Don't get me wrong I would love to have a girl friend of any kind be it over the internet or real one.
So my answer is yes that would be cool but a real one is better.

If you can get to know them, and be friends yeah its great, i have a friend at the moment and we talk all the time, every day. And now she went on vacation and I miss her. We just clicked and she is the funniest person ever and we just have a lot in common.

Fine---just as long as you be careful (don't meet him unless your parents know, if you're young) and know the person on the other end is REALLY a boy and not a 40-year-old pervert!

I won't lie...

I met my first boyfriend online, he was the sweetest person I'd ever met! We "dated" for a year and a month we were prefectly happy, it was like we saw each other EVERYDAY we fought, we laughed, we cried together it was like we were really there with each other. We really did love each other dispite our long distance...

At first I was leery about it, but after experincing it I say: I support it 110% as long as your careful.
