Even though we had all the technology, we lost to peasants on bicycles.
The same is coming in Iraq
As for the idiot "Polaris" below:
Not everyone in Vietnam was American. You just dragged other nations into it so that you could push the responsibility for it on to others. Once again, the same in Iraq

Vietnam veterans lost nothing. You are an idiot to say you have come to terms with it since you don't even know much about it. If we invaded North Vietnam it would have been a short war. We sat in the south because of politics and kept defeating the enemy. We eventually left because the media and alot of American's turned thier back on their own soldiers. If the war would have been left up to the fighting men it would have ended alot differently. I am thankful for what the Vietnam vets did for America, despite the war they survived over there only to endure the one they found at home. Too bad stupid ignorant bastards like you are still here to spit on them and us who fight today.

in a way we lost, but in a way...WE WERE FORCED TO LOSE! I mean, what other country goes to war and actually fights according to the Geneva Convention rules??? NOBODY but us. that puts our troop at a great disadvantage. There's too many things about the war that does need to be discused, but not on a forum like this...WAY too many kids on here and people that have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. I was talking to a Vet last weekend. The last thing he said before he walked out was.."I don't give a damn what anybody says, we won that war". BTW, u want more answers to that question, how about getting on the Vietnam Vets M/C site and asking THEM that!! Hell, give me your addy and I'll pass it along to the PRES. of the bike club and he can answer u!

they did not lose. the U. S. did. as a remember of reality, there have been not any troops in Vietnam in April 1975, a minimum of none to talk of. The conflict were "Vietnamized," and it wasn't lost until eventually Congress decrease off funding to the RVN authorities. The troops did their area. It became Congress that declared a defeat. positioned the duty the position it belongs, and be prepared for a repeat.

First off you should have your *** kicked for trash talking like that about any Vietnam Vet or for that matter any vet!
The men and women serving over there during that time did there job, and I am thank-full for them!
THE LIBERAL DESIRE for DEFEAT!
Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) recently made a speech urging the U.S., in effect to get out of Iraq the way we got out of Vietnam. Leahy told the Senate that we can't win in Iraq. And Leahy announced that the President must lay out a public formula to tell the world just when U.S. troops will leave Iraq. Otherwise, Leahy said, he will urge the Senate to choke off the war by refusing to fund it!
That is how the U.S. finally lost Vietnam: Congress snuffed out the money. *And because of that many American servicemen and women died*
Leahy's words lighted up a deep, dark secret that this nation would rather forget. Defeat in Vietnam, because of our politicians and liberal protesters, was a catastrophe for the U.S., a body-slam to the nations self-confidence.
It was far worse for the Southeast Asians, who were exiled, imprisoned, tortured and murdered by their vicious Communist conquerors!
But for left-wing Democrats it was a triumph. Forcing the mighty U.S. military to run away was the greatest victory they have ever known.
Senator Leahy and those like him think they can smell another Vietnam....WELL NOT THIS TIME!

The veterans did not lose the war. The gutless, worthless politicians of that day, on BOTH sides of the aisle, and especially in the White House and the civilian offices in the Pentagon, lost the war. On purpose. And they pulled the military out because they would've won it if they'd stayed.

Instead of telling them that what they did was worthless why dont u support them instead and help them out. Alot of the Vietnam Vets came home to hostility and nonsupportiveness from their fellow Americans. And even today they are still feeling and experiencing it.

You see, if you have no faith in the country you reside in. Then you shouldn't be here in the first place. The United States Army is our "home team" and yet you can't support them. Yes, I will agree some wars have been fought for reasons that are very weak in facts. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't support the individuals who were sent to these battles. They signed up to serve their country, they did not choose where they get sent to. It's the government and their concern of security. Anyone like yourself that can not support our troops, in the efforts they do. My advice, PACK YOUR BAGS AND GET OUT!

First of all we won every military engagement in Vite Nam we lost because the Communist press convinced the president to pull out. "Peace with honor" or some happy horse sh** like that. As for Iraq well if we are currently winning and if we don't listen to terrorist sympathizers like you we will win.
