Tell her that as her friend you dont think the relationship is valid. Also, how will she feel if she married the guy and he dies on her way before she is even old...the only thing you can do is tell her how you feel and then leave it alone. She will choose what she wants and pay for the consequences...you need to stand by her decision and help her out in any way...thats what friends are really for.

Generally, I believe if you are old enogh to be the parent your too old. And even that's questionable. If your in love WHO really cares? AGE SHOULD NOT MATTER. Whoever came up with the idea that you should marry around your age is living in the dark ages. Besidies it has been proven time and time again that Women are 8-10 years ahead of men in maturity (sp?) so a 40 year old man would be fine with a 30 year old wife.

Well, it's your friend that's wanting to date this older person, not you. So, I'm not sure why you are the one asking this question. I'm not trying to be offensive toward you; but there are times when we need to allow our friends to make their own decisions without our "butting in" so to speak. As you know, we all have the right to make our own decisions (if we're 18 or older--and even many decisions at a younger age). My parents allowed me to make decisions such as what clothes to wear to school, which friend I wanted to stay over for the weekend, and even whether I should buy a car at the age of 14--back then one could get a driver's permit, with good grades of course, at age 14. So, unless your friend has asked your advice, I would just stay out of it; let your friend make his/her own decision.

If she is 18 then keep the heck out of it. The guy maybe too old for you, but not for her. Maybe she is smart enough to realize the maturity, and stability in the guy she has her eye on. Don't knock her because she knows the difference between tall timber and small brush.

depending on the age and maturity levels you can either take legal matters or you can let her learn the hard way that it wont work out but keep in mind that some of these relationships workout great and the couple is happy for a long time don't be to quick to judge.

Call her out on it. Ask her what she is thinking and why she is into that guy. Maybe the age isn't a problem, because there is a true attraction. Or maybe she's after him for bad things (money, etc) and if she can't give you a good answer, then that should tell you both something.

Support her cause she is your friend, but keep a close eye on him. Or you could just go to the source and ask him why does he want to date your friend knowing that she is way younger than him. Your friend may get a little upset with you but at least she'll know that you're trying to protect her and she'll appreciate that.

Mind your own damn business. Sorry for being so frank but its her life and her decisions to make not yours. Anyway if you try and force your opinion then you will probably be resented for it and it will drive a wedge between you. I know your concern is genuine and you want the best for your friend but its just not your place. (of course if the ages don't present a legal problem).

Try talking to her and tell her your feelings about dating an older guy. Try getting to know the guy and see what he's like. Just remember, she has to make her own decision, so don't try to make her decisions for her. It could end up destroying the friendship.

Try talking to her. But then again what's the age difference between them. I think 10 years should be the limit.
