Yes, but you don't have to. Its up to you and your soon to be husband. We had it the weekend before our wedding. It was nice. Me and my girlfriends had a nice dinner and then went clubbing for the rest of the night. I got a lot of gag gifts too ;) But really its your choice.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I had one before my wedding and I've thrown several. If there is something that you are uncomfortable doing, be sure to let your maid of honor know that you're not into it. Some of my favorite memories of my friends come at bachelorette parties. Laughing and singing and dancing and drinking and otherwise being crazy together. My husband had a great bachelor party. They went to a strip club (it's a right of passage) and the guys told them it was his bachelor party so they put him on stage, stripped him to his boxers and made him dance. His friends still laugh years later. These parties aren't required but I recommend them because they will (hopefully) leave you with great memories.

Yes, my friends & I went to the beach for the weekend and my husband & his friends went to the beach also but stayed at a different part. We had fun. Friday we went to dinner & then went back to the hotel & had a few drinks & talked girl talk. Then Saturday we went shopping, relaxed in the hot tub, went to dinner, and then went clubbing. It was fun. They made me wear a veil & I got lots of free drinks that night!
Congrats on your wedding!!

I went out to a club with my friends and they told the club owner I was getting married so that made it a pretty fun night. we just drank and danced all night. my husband went out with my dad and some of my dads friends from work. They went to a bar for beer, pizza and wings. We both had a great time.
