I have a male boxer and he is 1 1/2 years old. He weighs about 60 lbs and i would like to get him up to about 75 or 80. What types of diets can i pout him on or what exercizees can i do with him? Thanks

that guy who said about the boxer food.. that sounds like a good idea.. i know that swimming is really good for dogs to build muscle (any animal really) or cart pulling. they can both help really diffine a dog muscles especially around their shoulders. you can normally find dog swimming ppols, where you walk them around with a lead or you swim with them! get familly excercise lol.. hm

Boxers are the hardest dog to put weight on. I have a boxer as well and found him to gain weight by feeding good food. Royal Canin sells a food called Maxi Boxer it has large chunks to stop them from eating to fast and a great protein/fat content. Also supplementing with cooked beef helps them to gain extra weight(muscle).

Is he supposed to get that large? He may not be a dog that is going to get that big. Ask your vet if he should gain weight. If so, then they can give you the right diet. If you go messing around on your own, you could cause big problems, like bladder stone formation, kidney disease, bone and joint problems.
