unless you have an enormous amount of cash on hand as your down payment (over 80% of the cost of the car), you can pretty much forget buying a new car right off. you have a better chance of getting a used vehicle to start but even that may be tough if you have no job or credit. a simple way to acquire credit is to obtain a gas card at a major brand gas station. they are easy to get. then don't miss any payments....ever. and don't max out the card either. stay below half your cards allowance (say you have a $400. limit, don't exceed $200. ever). this looks good on your credit report. after 6 months or so, buy a TV, or some furniture. after 6 months or so, then try and buy a used car on credit. make all the payments on time for at least 6 more months, then go after a newer car at a dealer. Ford Motor credit is more trusting than the others. then after a year or so of making those payments on time, go after the car you really want. its hard and time consuming as well but it works. get a job and stay there. roaming from job to job will kill any chance of getting that car or credit as well. its ok if you move up in employment (better job)and get more money but credit companies are reallt looking for stability and a good history of making payments on time. they want to help you go into debt (thats how they make their money) but they want to be assured they'll get their money back just the same.

Probably not.
But with a large down payment it may be possible.
Say 1/3 down
You might be better establishing credit and trying later.
Some used car places that finance should accept you.
If you had a Mastercard or Visa Card in forign country that might help establish your credit here.

cash is good!
1. build your work history(most places want to see at least 3 months at one company)
2. join a credit union, you can get lower interest on payments and they are more willing to work with you than a bank is.
3. always pay all bills on time! this helps greatly when you want to apply for any credit card, loan, or anything else. they like to know that they are going to get their money.
4. this built mine quickly... get a small loan, e.g. $1000, and make payments until it is down to about $200 then pay it off.
hope this helps. J.M.
