Very hard to describe. Sort of like someone saying, how do you know you love a person?

God's presence has within it peace, holiness....it is a feeling of being lifted up. It's loving, calming, but also sometimes it is correcting me or convicting me (of something I said or did that I should not have). I know God's presence because I spend alot of time in His word. That is how you come to know the character of God.

When you become familiar with God's character, you then can feel His presence, it becomes familiar. That is not to say someone who has never read the bible cannot experience God's presence; of course they can; God's spirit desires to draw all hearts.

I don't feel it all the time; sometimes I don't feel it at all, sometimes it's beautiful and so strong. Funny, one of the times I felt His presence most strongly was on a still night, looking out at the sky and stars, there was such silence, and I could feel His power. I thought it interesting such immense power...that created all things....was expressed at that moment in absolute stillness.

Elation. for me It's like being smack in the middle of a thunderstorm where the thunder and the lightening are coming at the same time and the lightening is so close the air is charged and your skin prickles. The wind is lashing the rain around your face and it stings but feels cool and refreshing. The water is coming down in heavy drops the size of tears and the ground is like a river rushing at ankle height. But even with all the fury of the storm I always feel calm, as though nothing could hurt me. And after the storm everything is so clean and beautiful and vibrant. Dead grass becomes gold, dusty trees become emerald and a rainbow appears in the rain soaked sky. It's a symbol of hope. This is a pale comparason of what God is, fury, cleansing, love, and Hope. This is how i feel when God is with me.

We really dont know persay when the lord is around. But think about it he is always here with us in spirit. The best way I can exsplain this is when your in a Bla mood and you pray for help, and something happens that makes you happy, well thats GOD with you. If you have any kids and they brighten your day with that smile, think about it if it wasnt for god the child wouldnt be here. If you have ever talked in tongnes, or been at a service were it has happened, thats the pressence of god speaking through them. I hope I helped you with this question.

I guess I can describe it like when I was a kid and was riding my bike somewhere I was told I shouldn't be (sin) and I fell and cut my left hand open. I ran home crying and my father heard me from way far away and started looking down the street we lived on and he saw me running home with blood running down my arm and when I got there He picked me up and said "let Daddy take a look at it." Well long story short he cleaned me and the cut all up but it wouldn't stop bleeding and he wrapped it all up and tucked me into the bed and sang a silly song he made up until Mom came home and took me to the doctor. Well that is the feeling I get when God's presence is near. Just like my Heavenly Father is there to comfort me and protect me from harm and and danger. I can't really explain how I know It is just something inside like when I was a kid I just knew "daddy" would make it okay. Its the same. God hears me when I call and He is able to catch me when I fall. I think people who didn't have a very good relationship with their father have a hard time with their Heavenly Father. They think He is much like their earthly one. But God is not a man that He should lie.

It's like nothing else. It's peaceful, reassuring. You know it's God. It's not a guess, and the experience is more real than what you see right in front of you.

Being in God's presence gives me strength and makes me feel honored that the living God would meet with me. I usually experience His presence when spend time worshipping Him or when I talk to Him in prayer.

It's one of the blessings of being saved.

I think it sort of feels like waking up on a Saturday morning. One of those mornings when you don't have to do anything at all and there's no place you need to be. At the moment this realization hits you, when you become aware of how quiet your house is...and any little movement makes a slight rustling sound in your sheets...the secure, safe feeling of knowing you're safe in your home...the tranquility of that moment...the peacefulness you feel at that time is the closest way I can describe it for you. When those moments happen to me, I find myself thanking God for the gift of life...for my beating heart...for each breath I take.

God bless you, my friend. I hope you experience this feeling in your own special way.

I feel sorry for that person...

It's when you put someone else before yourself just because you feel we are all deserving and beautiful, no matter what.
It's that feeling you get when you smile even though you're angry and let the smile take you over.
It's seeing and smelling and sensing beauty and being aware of the slight quivering sensation it causes in the area between your chest and throat. It is the colors of dusk and early morning inside your minds eye.
Oh yeah...and Jesus too.
