If you install, say, MS Office Professional 2003 on to a computer with an older version of Office, do you have to uninstall the older version and will those documents be able to be read by the latest version? Also how many times can MS Office be installed on to a computer?

Yes, if you aren't losing any programs in the uninstall. i.e...new version doesn't have publisher but the old one did?

Documents are all ok, again as long as you have the same programs in your new edition of Office.

And as for how many Installations....one, on one computer. Unless it is multi-user software for a Company, that is, the code is registered for multiple-uses.

That is, one time, for the purpose of updating online...you can install it as many times as you want I would imagine.

one thing the last person forgot to mention was that old version files need to be converted to the newest version >> there should be a "convert to" button on the toolbars of Office when files are opened.

Oh and new files on Office cannot be seen on earlier versions of Office but it does work the other way around.
