A very young girl and new employee. she just started here and she is unwilling to listen to anyone. Ive told the boss, nothing is happening.

If you are responsible for her training, then its also your responsibility to sit her down and explain what behaviors are tolerated in your workplace. Do not do it in an attacking way, just explain what is expected and possible consequences for their non compliance.

Don't put up with it. Someone needs to tell her like it is. Say, "Look, you may get away with that attitude at home, but we won't put up with it here. You are at work and need to stop acting like you know everything and start treating people with respect."
Keep telling the boss until something happens. Until then, don't offer your help to this young girl and maybe then she will realize that she doesn't know everything. She probably feels insecure and out of place if she isn't around anyone's age. So this may also be a protective wall that she put up around her.

Slash her tires. Start off with just one a week so she can still put the dounut on and drive away. Then when she has something important to do with her significant other slash two tires so she can't just change a tire. It would take an extra tire and a lot of time... while she's doing that put a masterplan in motion that will force her significant other in to leaving her. When she gets fired, for lack of concentration due to her depresion, help her move her stuff by throwing it at her car from the roof.

She'll either work it out with herself or leave. A know it all is always hard to get along with, even when they arent rude, but just annoying. There are simple ways to handle it like telling your boss, and there are responsible ways to handle it like telling them how their actions make them sound, and how they affect you at work. You do not have to interact with them on a personal level, but you do have to put up with thier crap for 8 hours+ a day. Tell them how you feel and things will get better. If they dont, report to your boss's boss. They will always fix it, be sure you go in knowing what you are going to say, and with reasons behind it.

You have to work around her and hope that lapses in her performance will be all too obvious enough. As well, if there is one person management can't ignore, it's a customer. Eventually they will complain. I never hope employment troubles upon anyone. A difficult employee may just be unappreciative or something, but I always hate to hear about terminations of employment.

Be kind to her and listen to her. Do not confront her, just listen.

You can also ask her in a nice way to explain to you some of the things she seems to know so well. Tell her that one of the things you like about her is the fact that she is very secure of herself for such a young age.

She will calm down if she feels no jealousy or anger from you.

Let her eventually find out the hard way when she starts questioning the boss. In the meantime, do your own work. This should'nt be bothering you.

Speak to her privately about her attitude and why it's not to her advantage to behave that way.

If that doesn't work, everyone in the office could try treating HER the same way for one day and see how she likes it.

Ignore her she'll dig her own hole. I had the same problem except I was the young one and the new know it all was in her 50's she didn't last long.

I know this sounds juvenile, but try putting a thumbtack on her chair. It won't solve her bona fide personality defect, but it will make for a good laugh.
