Perhaps it attracts responses because it such an inflammatory subject for many and is so right in everyone's face lately.

Good question if you are not gay why do you care what a gay person does in the privacy of their own homes as consenting adults?
I am gay and could care less if straight people use the missionary position or not.

Because they are the last part of society where it is acceptable to deny them rights. Just as Blacks or Chinese were not allowed to vote, we changed that.
So it must be with same sex couples that want to get married legally. It's a human rights issue.

Because it is tied to sex and stuff that is sexual titilates human beings. That's the way we are. Sex and sex-related headlines were part of what helped Hearst sell newspapers in the start of the newspaper. People are attracted to things related to money, sex or power.
