Ham and egg pie? Do you mean a kind of quiche?
make some pastry and roll it out to put into a greased quiche or flan dish
dice some ham, grate some cheese, finely chop some onion and lightly fry it, slice some mushrooms.

place the cooled fried onion on the base of the pastry, then add the other ingredients

lightly beat 5-6 eggs with a little single cream and pour over the other ingredients in the flan dish

bake in the oven until the top is golden brown and a knife or skewer comes out clean when you poke it in the middle.....

I love this dish - it is yummy hot or cold and great for eating outdoors....

1/2 Cup White Onion
1/2 Broccoli Florets
1/4 Cup Red Pepper
2 Cups Cheddar Cheese
2 Pie Crusts
4 Garlic Cloves
8 Strips Bacon
9 Eggs
1 Cup Milk
1/2 t. Ground Oregano
1/2 t. Ground Basil
1/2 t. Ground Thyme
1/4 t. Ground Rosemary
1/4 t. Salt
1/4 t. Black Pepper
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.
1. Slice and saute mushrooms, broccoli, onion, garlic and red pepper on medium heat until most of the water is removed (about 25 minutes).
2. Meanwhile, cook bacon and set aside to cool. When cool, crumble. Combine bacon with vegetable mixture and keep warm.
3. Shred Cheddar cheese.
4. In large bowl, combine eggs and milk until uniform; add in oregano, thyme, basil, rosemary, salt and pepper. Whisk until uniform.
5. Place shredded cheddar cheese in pie crusts, half in each crust; press firmly but gently.
6. Place vegetable mixture on top of cheese and fill each crust 3/4 full with egg mixture. DO NOT OVERFILL!
7. Place each pie crust on a baking sheet (to catch any spillage while baking) and bake for 35-40 minutes or until firm when gently jiggled and golden on top.
8. Cool well before serving, this can take up to 45 minutes. Do not serve until the quiche is set

Ham and Egg Pie
From: Debbie.D.,.AL
Date: August 2, 1999

4 large eggs
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup milk
2 cups finely chopped ham
1 cup grated cheese
1 9-inch pie shell, unbaked

Beat eggs slightly. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Bake at 425 for 35 minutes or until a knife stuck into the center of the pie comes out clean.

I add 1 can (4 oz.) mushrooms, well drained and 2 T. chopped pimento to this dish. Cut wedges, put each wedge in a ZipLoc Bag and take to lunch.

Ham and Egg Pie

1-1/2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella or Swiss cheese (6-ounces)
1/2 cup finely chopped cooked lower-sodium ham
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1-1/2 cups low-fat (1% milkfat) milk
2 large eggs
2 large egg whites
1/2 teaspoon basil leaves
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a 9-inch pie plate or quiche dish with the pie crust; crimp the edge. Line the crust with foil and fill with dried beans. Pour over the mixture into the crust. Cover edges of pie with foil. Bake for 20 minutes; remove foil. Bake 15 minutes more or until the center is set. Makes 6 main-dish servings. Prep Time: 15 minutes, Cooking Time: 50 Minutes.

Pick a frozen pie crust....
In a bowl beat 6-7 large eggs with a 1/4 c of milk. Add a dash of salt and pepper. (sounds like we are making scrambled eggs, huh?) then you get your ham chunks and add to the egg mixture. Throw on top of the crust and bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes . Let cook and EAT baby!! My mom makes it every Thanksgiving but we get creative and add different veggies to it for being creative
