I think that psychics are people that have a very weak sense of causality. If you ask them to logically evaluate something, they get nervous and anxious because it's somehow hard for them to do. Thus, they go through life making associations instead of causal connections and when they make an accurate association, they think it's being 'psychic'.

For example, if I saw someone wearing a red shirt and it the store next door was a mcdonald's were they wear red shirts, I'd say, "oh, you work at mcdonalds." But a 'psychic' would see the red shirt and say something like, 'I feel you have a strong relationship to food', because they'd forget that the people wearing red shirts work next door. Then if they're correct, they think they have special powers.

You're right. Psychics are just very observant, they can't really see into the furture. I have never seen anyone of them come right out and say something concrete. Especially the ones who claim to be talking to the dead, "I'm getting someone their name begins with a M or an N or wait maybe it begins wiht a P" Its total Phishing and I think they should all be arrested for taking advantage of people who are in pain.

That's actually kinda cool. Clever you think like that. I am sure it is more than just a certain job category of people that are like that though. I can see what you mean though with some of those people who think that way find it easier to work with a job that works with how they think. they connect things differently than others just like you thought of that theory when I'm sure many don't even have cross their minds. Either way they are correct. Red shirt=Mcdonalds or Red shirt=food; the ending result is still the same no matter how it's come across. Some just find others way of connecting things facinating because they can see something from a different perspective, like I got to just now after reading your question. Thanks for that ;)

interesting... yes, to some degree. one of the things i tell people is that only about 5% of events or situations reported as "psychic" or paranormal, or otherwise miraculous are truly such. and of course things like telepathy and premonitions and clairvoyance are completely subjective. But there really are real psychics, and that guy in the red shirt is the only guy working at that McDonald's who's going to be a successful Chef one day...

Interesting theory but I think the matter is even simpler and more sinister than that.... Psychics are lying charlatans that only want to bilk stupid or desperate people out of their money. Some of them may be self-deluded enough to actually believe they have powers but most are pure fakes.

Well just learn that the physics law only apply to Earth and no to the rest of Universe.

Nice theory. I'm not sure if it's the psychics that are deluded or the ones that believe them.

Yeah, I agree. They try and make it sound so real when they are just a little too manic. Hell, anyone can be intuitive.
