We are over protective cuz we want to keep what we have with someone. Girls are very insecure so when they have a man, they will do anything to keep him. It's not that they want to be overly clingy, it's just that they don't want to get let down. It's just the way we are. If we have something good in our life, we are gonna do are best and keep it...no matter what. When we get let down, the hurt stays. So when we find another guy after that, we will be very protective of that person because we don't want to get hurt again. HOPE THIS HELPS.
