start off every week. most flea killers will not destroy the eggs..they are tough little buggers, so by constantly spraying you get the new ones hatching oout....
should also spray couch rug etc. if animal is in house.

Funny, i just went to my vet. The vet says that you can spray at least every two weeks. There's no need to call the exterminator to do it again (i recommed Spectracide or something like that...) Make sure that you are spraying the carpet and furniture, and then vaccuuming and then throwing the bag away!!!! This is very important since the little bloodsuckers can crawl out of the bag. What you want in a spray is Fipronil which is an insect growth regulator, since that will kill the pupae, larva and eggs. If you don't vaccuum, you won't "hatch" the eggs. Also, you'll want to spray your furniture, since they can survive in anything that is made of material. They'll start biting you if you don't! And make sure you don't have any dead rodents around, since fleas are the hosts of the Bubonic Plague (caused by ingesting the blood of a dead rodent then biting you).

I don't like pesticides so I use Boric Acid. Just sprinkle in the carpets and it kills 'em by sucking out all the moisture. Wait a couple of days and vacuum, repeat for a week or so. Didn't take long and I had four cats at the time. Works like a charm.

I agree with the first answer, but I would also say that one thing that really helped us one bad summer when we had flea infestation... by some cedarcide (cedar shavings), put it in an old athletic sock until it's almost full. Then tie off the end. Throw these cedar smelling "logs" under couches, beds, behind furniture. They really repel fleas well and give a nice clean scent as well. Good luck!

Spray every day until the fleas are gone. Flea baths for you and the cats you come in contact with will help the problem go away faster!

My vet told me that they do make such a thing as a flea bomb that would rid them from inside your home. Try that, since none of the animals are yours. If they were or if you ever got a pet all people and animals would have to be outside for a while.

Get Adams fly bombs and carpet spray. Also fleas won't live in a clean house no matter how many there are(not saying your house is dirty). Wash the walls with pine sol and any hard surfaces you can.

I HAD A DOG. INSTEAD OF SPRAYING, WE USED A RAID FOGGER FOR THE ENTIRE HOUSE. IT WORKED REALLY WELL THE FIRST TIME. WE HAD NO MORE FLEAS AFTER THAT
