I was studying your picture, and I think you would look absolutely lovely with caramel highlights framing your face. Your hair is lovely the way it is. If you are looking for a new look, add the caramel highlights, and use shine serum to really make your hair glossy.

Well I have put many different colors in my hair and cut it many different lengths. I think the way you color your hair should go by your skin tone and your personality. You know some people can't pull off outrageous, bold colors or a whole mix of colors.

Well anyway I have a fair skin tone and dark brown hair, now in the past I have had really short hair most of the time so I experimented with many different colors. My favorite was when she brightened my natural brown color, then added deep red low lights and then put golden hi lights. It looked amazing with the really short cut she had given me. That's another thing, color, I think, goes by what cut and length your hair is.

Now for you, it looks like your hair is a really dark shade from the pic you have, so I would say do something similar to what I mentioned in the paragraph above. Try 2 or 3 colors. I would maybe do a darker base color or do a an auburn or chocolate cherry red, then put some golden hi lights in there. I wouldn't do more than two colors if you are keeping your hair long, but if you are going to cut it short, then have at it girl!

I've never colored my hair either, as i'm scared that I will never be able to get my black back. You color is rich and beautiful, if you want some change try something that washes out! Good Luck!

Just to let you know, coloring your hair more than once or more than one color, actually dulls your natural color, your hair becomes weak and brittle, and it after awhile it doesn't shine anymore... The only way to return it back to normal is shave it all off and let your hair grow again...

I would have my original color no matter what... It's just color is not me at all.

Don't color it. To me, nothing screams, 'I don't like who I really am!' like different colored roots. And, unless you've got infinite time & resources, you know your roots will be showing now & then. I've never known anyone who looked so bad in their natural color that they simply had to color it.

If you must do something, do a different cut or style, instead!
