just wondering?? And would you sleep with a girl that has been with more people then you. Why does it matter so much? Don't say STD's because what I am talking about is when people think it is ok for a guy to sleep around but doing that maks a girl a sl*t!!!
and no I am not a sl*t. I have guy friends who sleep around, but threy are judgmental of girls who do.

ok I am not talking about teenagers here. I mean atleast mid 20's. If people start having sex at 18 and have sex with one person a year they would hav slept with 7 people by the time they are 25, 12 by the time they are 30 and so on. since most people don't get married until they are in their 30's (in the USA) these days, wouldn't that be about average. When you look at the numbers it seems like a lot but to day one person a year it doesn't, so what is it

no for all the people that says it does not matter, what if was your sister, mother what ever. would you be ok with them sleeping with that many people??
for all the people that said 2-3 wow thats great if you live that way but it isn't very realistic in this day for people that are not married and in their20's-30's to only slept with 2or 3

Great question. I would say 10. I mean if you go to college you are gonna date, and have sex. It's natural to want to. You may even have 7 boyfriend before you are 23. Slut is a tough word. If you are sleeping with guys to get something then slut applies, if it is just spur of the moment lust at a party, and you just met the guy, well maybe. If they are all consensual encounters with respect towards each other I can't say there is anything wrong. I know I am a "slut" so I will not answer the stupid question from a potential girlfriend of "how many women have you slept with" because 2 is too many to most people.

A "sl*t" would be someone who lies to a person really.
So you can sleep with whoever you want, just be honest, don't try to have a "boyfriend" to then continue sleep around with the whole neighborhood, think about it...what's the point of doing that, other than to deceive another person and yourself?
p.s. There is nothing wrong with sleeping around with the whole neighborhood as long as you're not doing it for money which is illegal or you're lying to a guy that wants to marry you cause that would make you a sl*t.

How many people someone has had intercourse with does not determine whether they are viewed as loose. As it is with both men AND women, it has to do with intention. If you profess to enjoy having different partners daily, then you will be viewed in a negative light whether you are a man or woman. Don't believe the lies that women don't care about how active a man has been and that men think guys that sleep around are cool. I have too many girl friends who have shared their feelings about loose guys and I have many guy friends who are sad when they here someone bragging. I don't know anyone, male or female, who wants to end up with someone who lives such a lifestyle. But those who have simply made some mistakes in judgment will not be viewed negatively by anyone who is worthwhile. I would be willing to marry a former prostitute or stripper as long as she has decided those lifestyles are not healthy for her or anyone else. It all revolves around forgiveness and direction in life.

To be considered a sl*t does not refer to how many people you sleep with, as apposed to how you present yourself, and whether or not you take other peoples feelings into account. For instance telling somebody that you love them, and that they're the only one for you, then proceeding to sleep with their best Friend etc. makes you a sl*t, see there you would have only slept with 2 people but gained the rank of sl*t, whether you're a guy or not.

I think you are asking the wrong question.
You should be asking why men are able to label women and get away with it? Do you realize that the English language doesn't even have a word for a male slut?
To my way of thinking a woman can only be considered a slut if SHE thinks she is a slut.
I realize that society is not going to change because of my opinion but then I don't really buy into what society thinks and neither should you.

We're all sluts in that case. We're human beings. WE LOVE TO HUMP, HUMP, and HUMP. It's natural (inspite of what some uptight super-conservative, ignorant, right winger thinks - ala Rush Limbaugh).
But in this case, the thinking stems from the old Victorian Age in which a woman had to be virtuous and pure (in other words mind controlled).
In REALITY, some guys have no idea that the women that they were/are with had more than one lover.
If your worried about it, keep what you do to yourself and enjoy.

i would say more than 3 in a short period of time. I do not believe anyone should sleep around male or female. You should only have sex in a committed relationship.
