Walking first thing in the morning -- before eating anything -- is the best way to burn fat.
Walking is an exercise you can probably do more than once a day, since it's not as exerting as running and other exercises.
So if you can, try walking first thing in the morning, and after dinner at night. Go for at least 45 minutes each time to start with -- build up more time as you go.

walk first thing in the morning and don't eat until an hour afterwards. also, splitting your walking into two sessions (one am, one pm) will keep your metabolism elevated throughout the day, as will eating six small (200-300) calorie meals thoughout the day. fruits and veggies let you eat a lot for few calories, and whole grains are filling and burn more efficiently than processed (white) flour products.

doesnt matter how much you walk if your eating a lot. Watch you caloirc intake. Try to walk far enuff to burn as many calories as you feel comfortable with. I did this and lost about 15 pounds a month. But I did watch what I ate, no junk food and NO POP!!!

Eating after walking is better. You will burn more calories while your metablisim is working its hardest. I lost 50 pounds in four months by just walking and eating right. Keep it off too.

you're going to burn the same amount of calories either way. personally, i like to have an empty stomach before i do any exercise. it allows for more bloodflow to the rest of your muscles. if you're digesting while your walking or exercising, you have decreased bloodflow to the rest of your muscles. it depends on how much you want to get out of your workout. i always feel more tired if i've eaten before exercise and i get more out of my workout of i haven't stuffed myself before hand.
