They're busy trying to kill Mexicans and protesting the funerals of soldiers because God Hates Gay people... No time for book burning. Maybe they'll get back to it before the next book comes out.

There still are a few out there. There's a lady in Georgia who is trying to appeal a court decision. The court decided that her pleas to get Harry Potter out of schools were unfounded, and now she is trying to take her pleas to a higher court.
However, there are also a lot of Christians who are starting to realize the literary significance of the series. Intelligent, thinking Christians are starting to actually read the books and finding that they are full of ideas that actually support their faith rather than going against it. Here is a great website, if you want to see what some of them are saying.

They're always up in arms about something. The DaVinci Code gave them something new to worry about since no new Harry Potter anything is scheduled til next summer. But I'm sure that Harry Potter and DaVinci combined are just the epitome of Satan.

Yes, we still don't like Harry Potter and we boycott anything with the Harry Potter label. My boys refuse to play with legos or anything that says Harry Potter on it.

i'm a christian. I condemn the harry potter series. that's ushering in a time of desolation via influencing and brainwashing youthful minds approximately witchcraft ie. devil. that's coaching toddlers that witchcraft is okay, exciting whilst extremely, it destroys the very beginning of the soul.

They probable came to there scences and realized that they were being stupid. I mean really, all they were doing was makeing a big deal that Harry Potter had magic. and it was non God like...which is basicly a sin,and sin is everywhere, everyone has it, everyone does it, its everywhere, even they do it. So really, if they were to continue any farther with it, then they would have to be anti-everything. Because sin is everywhere. and you cant protest everything, becuase then you would be stupid.

Yeah they always have a "crusade du jour" and it changes. Usually it changes, spongebob, tinky winky, Harry Potter. Who knows what ridiculous notion will get thier panties in a bunch?
Just ignore them, they are irrelevant morons and they know it.

I think the issue is dying a natural death. If asked directly, I believe we would respond that we are still not crazy about it, but since it's not being hyped now it doesn't make US so crazy, either.
