School or church. Do you have a diploma or GED? If not, get one. If you do, go back to school to get a degree. There are many women who are looking for self-directed, goal-oriented men who are working on their future. Church is also a good place, and most have singles groups that make it easier to find the available women.
I don't know what you were in for, but chances are that your past peer associations and environments are people and places you should avoid. No woman worth being with will want to be with you if you're still hanging out with and around undesirables who are engaging in criminal activity. If you have a history of addiction or alcoholism, get treatment right away, and stay clean. Don't keep your past a secret, but don't spill it too soon unless it comes up. What you're doing now and where you're headed are much more important to a woman than where you've been, especially if you've truly left it behind.

Focus on becoming a man a nice girl would want. A woman that will settle for anything is probably not a good one for you. Prison doesn't make you a bad guy, it is just better to focus on you first

Well, to be quite honest with you.....I would advise you NOT to advertise that you are fresh out of prison. I understand you paid your debt to society, but come on its definitely a piece of information that can wait.....you know.
I would say Church. Lots of churches have singles groups where you can mingle and yes study the bible.
Take a college course....preferrably in the evening, that's when the nice girls take their classes.

Ask a friend to set you up on a blind date. I wouldn't give too much info about yourself too soon. I don't think they would be to relaxed to hear that you just got out of prison. Try to be patient, I'm sure someone good will come your way. Good luck
