Happens all the time. Just about everyone has an ACT or SAT score used to determine there college eligibility. Many schools will use those as the true indicator of your chances of success at their institution. YOu could ask for an exception if you feel strongly about it.

What type of school is this??? Elementary? High School? College?

I have NEVER heard of a school doing this. They all have means to help/assist someone who cannot read or read at the necessary level.

Contact your State Representative/Governor and file a complaint!

If you do not meet their minimum entry requirements, of course they can.

Think this through, if you went there and had difficulties reading and comprehending the assignments, how well would you do.

If you want to persue this, and I suggest that you do you should obtain some tutoring. There may be some free resources available to you.
