I agree...he almost seemed to take a kind of pleasure in accusing Marines of Murder before they even had a trial. To me that takes away any credit he gets for being a former marine.

joopzimzamtroy there you go again talking about things you know nothing about. First of all there is one "medal of honor" and murtha doesn't have it. He has 2 purple hearts and for all you or I know he tripped over a tent peg. He has a bronze star. That doesn't exacly make him audie murphy. Once again we have the typical liberal tact...either lie, twist, or exagerate.

By the way, the vietnamese cross of gallantry is a unit citation, I've got one too and I ain't a hero.

Mr. Murtha is a 37 year veteran of the Marines and has partaken in every conflict since VietNam, he has just about every medal of honor you can have bestowed upon you in the military. His voting record is extremely pro military, and he really does'nt care about non military commentators that criticize him. Now I completely disagree with his call for immediate withdrawl but at least I am mature enough to respect him putting his life on the line like other real Americans when others just hung out in the military for street cred, or even worse got five draft defferments, oh you probably don't know but I'm talking about the ol' George and Dick.

I think Murtha just as any other Marine has earned the right to voice his views. Even though I may disagree with him on some issues I respect his right to have an opinion. However there are those that have the same right but have not earned it.

Murtha is an outstanding man. Look at his history. When you find out more about him you will proudly salute him.

I think he is a brick shy of a stack. Old age will do that I hear.
At 50 I hope not. I can't stand his ideas, but I do not know him & do not want to. I do not care what he has donw in past, he has destroyed it with his lack of patriotism this year, shame on him!
