Nothing's for sure, but there have been studies that have shown that even one can raise the chance of getting addicted. So your smoking one every 3 days increases the chance greatly over not smoking. I don't have the exact numbers handy, but I'm sure you could find something similar on Google.

have you ever saw the movie "soilent green"? it takes places in the future when "luxuries" like cigarettes are extremely rare. charlton heston , playing an investigating police officer walked into a crime scene and grabs a cigarette from a "well to do " witness standing buy. he takes a l o n g satisfying drag and exclaims," if i could afford these i'd smoke 1, 2 a day." its really pretty funny because i think no one starts out thinking they are going to be a pack a day person, 1,2 a day that would be fine. after coffee , after sex... it probably wouldn't even be a health issue... problem is the habit doesn't lend itself to that.... there are very few things more physically and psychologically addicting as tobacco.. according to studies that came out just last week, it's nearly impossible to quit without professional help. i started smoking at 15 and smoked about 1/2 pack a day for 5 years... i was never able to quit completely but i was good at putting it off, "ill have 1 later" when later came around i'd say it again.. i'm 58 now and can put cigarettes off for a year at a time... but i look forward to smoking that next cigarette all year......it is far easier not to start than it is to stop!

Physical addiction is not as likely if you only smoke one cig in a 72 hour time frame, however it is possible. Addiction, however, is not just physical. If your mind becomes used to a pattern of smoking every 72 hours, then your mind will begin to tell your body that you need another cig, and eventually it will become a habit. It's similar to animals migrating for the seasonal change in weather. They do it because it's natural, and if you start a habit like that, it will become natural for your mind, and eventually for your body too. So jus stop now, while you still have a chance.

although i may be wrong i believe the nicotine based addiction that comes from cigarettes is mostly psychological therefore if you leave it and you have an addictive personality like 10% of the American population no matter what you do if you continue smoking you will become addicted. Other wise you will be fine to smoke occasionally(in very moderate amounts) and not become addicted.

once you've smoked plenty previously and by no skill gotten addicted, bypass ahead and smoke as a lot as you want and don't be disturbed about it. in case you do not smoke 2 days in a row, you're not any more addicted. See in case you could inhale an finished p.c.. in a unmarried sitting. you're already midway there. which will be cool. in case you could, then you definately have the flair to be a very heavy smoker in case you enable your self. I recommend, in case you could smoke 0.5 a p.c.. in a unmarried sitting, imagine in case you smoked all day and nighttime without limits - you may want to probably inhale a minimum of two, probably 3 packs or maybe extra. yet extremely, in case you want to smoke, being addicted is not any enormous deal - it really is in uncomplicated phrases an excuse to smoke extra.

If you're thinking like that, you're well on your way to a nasty addiction you will regret for a long time to come. You may not be physically additcted yet, but the psychological side has kicked in. Just don't smoke anymore. My ex boyfriend smokes about three to nine fags a week, but can't quit.

Not really, u might enjoy it and want another then after a while when the nicotines in your system you'll get withdrawl symptons (as the nictine levels reduce in your body because its not meant to be there). And anyway even if you smoke one ciggy every 72 hours isn't that a bit like adiction? just don't smoke it's not worth it.

If you can have one cigarette and not have another for 72 hours, then you are not a smoker so QUIT.
But if all you do is think about the cigarette for the 72 hours, then yes, you are addicted.
