I think I saw some coming out of his butt (sorry , I know , gross!!)
I dont have money at the moment to take him to the vet yet..Is there anything I could do on the meantime ? I am dissgusted ! I thought they had given him parasite shots ..I paid for having him vaccine and everything as well , why is this happening now ? He only eats good brand dry food ..and water ..I am a bit disgusted ..
And I keep buying stuff for fleas for him , like sprays and stuff nothing is effective so far ...Not even the flea collar , any good recommendations !

the most common worm is tapeworms, which they get by ingesting a flea. There are either pills or an injection that you can get from the vet. The cost can vary depending where you live...here in CA it is not as cheap as most people are claiming! You can order the pills online which may be less expensive than the vets...go to fosterandsmith.com As far as fleas..flea collars only kill the fleas around the neck and head..try advantage, usually works within 24 hours. You may need to treat your house as well, and the cat could continue to reinfect itself with the worms as long as fleas are around. Don't waste your money on a stool sample if they are tapeworms (look like little grains of rice when they are dry) as their eggs DO NOT show up under a microscope, only the eggs of other worms like roundworms, hookworms, etc. show up under a scope.

Tapeworms look like rice....which are caused by fleas, I am assume this is the type of worm that you have. The only way to get rid of the worms is a pill called "cestex" from your vet. There may be other brands too, I'm just most familiar with this one. Flea collars only work to keep fleas off the head....don't use them!! Save your money buying all kinds of flea stuff and take your cat to the vet!! He is counting on you to keep him protected because he would probably walk to the vet if he could.
Also use Frontline to get rid of your cats fleas!!

You might see something that looks like a grain of rice coming from your cats hind end. That is very common and its a type of worm. Even cats that are given all of their shots can get worms. If you'd like you can purchase some over the counter worm medication that you can put into the cats food because worms are internal and flea spray won't kill them.
Unfortunately, regardless of the brand of food etc cats can still pick up parasites and worms. It's common but they are really easy to get rid of. Instead of investing all sorts of cash into flea sprays and over the counter remedies use that money to take your kitty to the vet. It won't cost that much and your kitty will be healthy in no time.

I would take a stool sample to your vet and let them check it out. Then purchase the products that they recommend DO NOT BUY other the counter products THEY DON'T WORK. Be able to explain to the vet what you saw. If it is tapeworms (they get them from fleas) they sometimes do not show up on the stool check.

Most parasites are treated through pills, not shots. Just becuase he gets his vaccines doesn't mean he can't get parasites.
Just go to the vet. The treatment isn't that expensive, and you won't end up wasting money on home remedies that don't work, or over-the-counter medications that were not for the correct parasite he has.

check your local pet store for worm medicine, shouldnt cost too much. As far as fleas go, Advantage is a good overall medicine, but defleaing the cat isnt all you have to do, you have to deflea the house as well and try not to bring home fleas from other animals.

Your cat has worms. You buy worm pills from the vet and it's really inexpensive...maybe $10....call your local vet...don't let it go on for any longer than necessary. Good Luck
