Yes there are so many JVC hard drive camcorders out, but the quality of them is exactly the same except the features they have. Some camcorders have bigger hard drive to store more video and some have facility to change the movie resolution to record movie in highly compressed format, in this case, you can record up to 20hours of video on a 20 GB hard drive else 4.5hours only in 20GB hard drive.

Some camcorders have bigger zoom and better optical image stabiliser and sometimes more pixels for still pictures. Video quality still remains the same unless a camcorder has 3CCD (3 chips for RED, GREEN and BLUE colours) which will give you nearest to broadcast quality.
