i downloaded a movie and when i open it the movie was to slow the sound was natrual but ....?

the sound of the movie is ok but the pics. is too slow

Could be one of three things

1. Codecs
First check what codec the movie is using by downloading Gspot
http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
Extract downloaded file. open Gspot and go to FILE and OPEN. Browse to the video and see what codec is requires (In video block under NAME).

Since you can see pictures it could be a conflicting codec. So if you know what the right codec is you can just re-install it, or search for an updated one on line.

2.Computer
If your computer is very old and it is not a codec issue then that is the reason the video is jerky. For a divx 5 movie your computer should have th following requirements

500 MHz Pentium 3, 128 MB ram. If your CPU is a celeron or Duron it should have a clock speed of 800MHz because these chips are a bit slower due to a smaller L2 cache.

3. the video uses a very low frame rate. In this case there is nothing that can be done and the fault is not with your PC. Gspot will tell you the frame rate (In the video block next to FPS). 23.97,25 and 29.97 are good frame rates. anything lower than 23.97 frame will have a noticeable hook

You can try right clicking on "My Computer" go to properties... go to Advanced.... click on performance option..... clicko n the change botton where Virtual Memory is.... if your VM is around 384MB try to change the intial size to 1500 and the maximum size to 3000. This is ofcours if you have more than 128MB or RAM.

This happened to me the other day, and all other downloads were normal. The site refunded my money, since it was their fault.
