He was as fooled as Eve and as guilty. He was standing right there when Eve picked and ate the fruit. HE didn't even try to stop her. But as a coward he waited to se if she died before he ate.

He probably was before taking of the other tree because the other tree was the only tree that was forbidden to eat from. That is why after he ate the apple that Eve gave him from the forbidden tree, god placed an angel there to prevent Adam and Eve from eating it. Later they were driven from the garden and perhaps the tree was removed by God, or the ability to give life eternal was removed from the tree. Nothing says that Adam was with Eve when she took of the fruit. She was the one that told Adam, look I didn't die, the same words that Satan told her to say to Adam. He additionally told her to say to Adam that he could not keep the other commandment to multiply and replenish the earth if she were kicked out of the garden. So he took of it rather than consult with >God first. The thing is, death dead occur and they did die in the day they took it. a thousand years is equal to one day and Adam nearly lived 1000 years, making it a day.

Because his wife persuaded him to believe the serpent who told her she was bound to be like god knowing good and bad. They had free will and were given one command to obey, which was not to eat from the fruit of the tree that's in the middle of the garden, they had passed by that tree day after day and never longed for it, but as soon as she heard what could happen if she ate of its fruit her whole attitude changed and she ate from the tree. It was a bad use of free will and screwed all of us up cause of it.

Actually they did eat from the tree of life, see the following verse(s):

Ge 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden;
Ge 2:17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.”

Ge 3:22 And the LORD God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”

Adam and Eve could no longer eat from the tree of life because God didn't permit them to eat from the tree of life.

It wasn't an actual apple, but the metaphorical fruit from the tre of knowledge. In other words, adam and eve realized they were capable of free will and could make their own decisions.

He was persuaded to eat the fruit that Eve offered him (which was the one & only tree that God told them not to eat from). Once he did, he could not eat from any other tree. They were thrown out of the garden.

Because the serpent tricked Eve into eating it saying she would have as much knowledge as God if she ate, and she handed it to Adam.

Satan tricked eve with power like Gods' if she ate the fruit and she wanted that power obviously and as far as adam when he saw her eat it, cause the bible says he was with her, he chose his wife over God.

Bryton is correct. God knew before hand what course Adam would choose, part of his plan, although He (Adam) was the first to have his free agency to do what he chose.
