Lemon Juice, Camomile Tea - that's the home solutions. Be careful with peroxide because it damages hair a lot but works (try a little bit on your hand and massage into your hair). Also in the long run you can find a hair shampoo and conditioners that have lightening effects. For example John Frieda (I loooooove them!!!!). I think Herbal Essences have that type of shampoos also.

Try "Sun In"...can find it at a beauty supple or sometimes a local pharmacy store has it. Lemon Juice is ok, except it along with peroxide could burn your hair...if that happens you should get a hot oil treatment or try mayonaise (yes like in the jar) to condition it the damage done by the citrus or the bacterial killing agent in peroxide.
Kool Aid will also dye hair..however darkblonde does need lightened first to insure seeing the color.

Putting blonded foil-highlights into it will brighten it a couple notches. A few strands around the face is what most folks do.
Even a little change can go a long way in improving your overall look!
