Ask your doctor. You should be seeing a doctor regularly if you stopped taking anti-psychotics.

Every medication has a different half life meaning that after one day some of it leaves your system but maybe it takes a lot longer just for half of it to leave your system. It also depends on how long you were on it. The other possibility is that you are not ready to get off these medications. Please talk to your psychiatrist so he will be able to moniter your progress. your feelings now could turn suicidal before you even realize. Good luck and be careful. I'd rather spend the rest of my life on medication than to ever feel like I did without it again.

go to this great site

crazymeds.org

you might feel that it would be better to get off the meds now but then the signs of psychosis can hit you much worse - try and make a deal with your Dr. and get onto the lowest dose possible

also ask him about CBT and vitamin therapy together with the meds - I'm referring to Abram Hoffer and also look up Prof. Belmaker - interesting stuff.

Go back to Dr. and work it out or change doctors

What are the withdrawal effects? Movement disorders, somnolence, hyperprolactinaemia?? They will go by time. But why did you start anti-psychotics and why did you stop it? Anti-psychotics are potentially dangerous medications if taken with a prescription.

it could take up to a year depending on the amount of doseage you are prescribed. but arent you a little young for this treatment? you should have gotten a second opinion before indulging in pill popping.
