There is no meaning to life. Accepting this is very liberating.
Then you can adopt a pragmatic view of life -- set goals based on your own criteria and realize that thought and behaviour is social convention. If this is true, then the meaning one creates in one's life would be very different from one individual to another.

For Christians the meaning of life, is to glorify God as his servants. We are commanded how to do this.
Matthew 22
36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
In other words, the meaning of life is LOVE
If by "meaning of life" you are asking what is the reason for life, or why do we exist, this too is answered in the bible.
1 Peter 2
9But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
11Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. 12Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.
We are here to glorify God, He is the Creator and we are the creation. We were made good in His sight, so we should uphold that status.
Gensis 1:31
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

I'd be more concerned with what happens after this life considering you are 100% mortal and could die at any time. But it's awesome you are thinking about things greater than yourself. Ask a question like that and see what kind of answers you get. Hopefully I'll see it and can throw in my thoughts.
Decided to anyways. It's loving Christ and loving others. Love is everything. Just take some time to think about it without stereotypes of Christians. It's all between you and God.

The meaning and purpose of life lie in Christ Jesus. When you discover him, all of a sudden everything makes sense. You can look around, and all you see is wonderful and created by the Lord. It makes you want to jump and sing, because you have reason to live, and you have a hope and a future in the Lord.

In the Quran Allah clearly says in one verse" I have not created Jinn and mankind, except that they worship me"
So the Purpose of Life is to worship the Creator.

You live and die, like all animals. Why try to find a hidden meaning where there is none? Of course, you can find a meaning for yourself if you wish, but remember that you dreamed it up, not anyone else.
