If you are over eating, you might be headed for diabetes. Look in your area for the local medical facility of American Diabetes Association. They often give free classes in nutrition. People need to eat less quantity of food, eat more small portion meals and a couple of little snacks each day. And exercise to enable your metabolism to use the energy the food you eat produces.
Learn to read labels on food you buy at store. An example of this is that if a food has 38 grams of carbohydrates per serving, that translates into almost 4 servings of carbs per meal. To lose weight, a woman needs to keep her carb intact (per meal) to about 3 or 4 carb servings. A man gets 4 or 5.
Fat grams per serving work the same. Reduce your carb and fat grams, eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, have a tiny snack at night and your health will improve and you will lost weight.
Forget fad diets. Learn to eat healthy.

Replace non-healthy foods to healthier choices.
Keep yourself busy so you don't think of food.
When your halfway through a plate of food, stop to ask yourself if you are really still hungry.
Don't eat when your not hungry.
Maybe you can work off any extra food you eat by running or something. You might eat less to avoid having to run.
Just try to hold yourself back and cut back gradually.

Start doing new things, keep yourself busy, find new interests, there is a whole world outside your refridgerator, waiting to be explored, join a church group, activity, go to The library, go to the park, for a walk etc. don't sit in front of the TV 24-7.
