Actually they are not opaque grey, more like silvery/transluscent. Their are several strands of white hair growing on the side of my head and it looks wierd because I have dark reddish hair, and I am only 22 years old. I've been plucking them out. Unfortunanly they grow back in higher numbers.

Should this be something to worry about?

nothing to worry about. there can be reasons like heredity, but not really due to stress and all that other bs. your hair loses the pigment and turns lighter. mine is turning really white and started when i was about your age! i love color. highlighting masks it better.

Nope, nothing to worry about, some people are genetically progamed to gray at a young age. Look at the older members of your family - anyone else start graying young?

I know that white hairs are caused by the hair folicles not being able to produce pigment any more.
I'm not sure if there's anything you can do about it, though

Head trama. For example I fell and split the back of my head open and where it healed all the hairs are grey.

could be inherited; plucking them just makes them sometimes come back in more amounts...ask a doctor
