It's a really good thing that you are conscious of why you feel that and even better is that you have the will change it. Everything that I could say is theoretically because only you will be who will have to be brave to take the next step.
You have to realize that past it's past, we can't live there, there are more because there is always tomorrow.
You have to think about what are your motivations, think that it's never late to get your dreams or to make things better for you and your beautiful children.
And one more important thing, there is no reason to believe that you can't be happy, Why not? happiness is there, get it!
you're special cause you are a survivor of your tragedies now it's time to be happy and give the best of you to your children.
Good luck, God bless you.

A good part of the battle has already been won. You are aware of and accept that you have a problem. You are seeking professional help. You are motivated to make improvements for the right reasons.

The best advice would be to meet as many new people as you can. A certain percentage of those will show an interest in you. A few may become friends. The more friends you have, the easier it will be to relax around that one special person that will catch your eye.

You deserve happiness and need to tell yourself this often and every day. Start with the love you have for your kids, do their smiles make you happy? Remember that feeling and look for how many ways you can get close to it again. After all, you aren't afraid to feel happy for their accomplishments are you? I'm sure you aren't. There is your base for comparison, hold on to it as your anchor and keep up with treatment and such. You can do it.
