I can't be concerned about 2012 when all I have is today.

Many Prophets have forcasted that the end of the earth is 2012.
The Mayan calendar ends in 2012.
The Bible code, if you believe it, states the earth will be destroyed by an astroid by God's hand in 2012.
If you believe in Revelations and the end of times and the last 7 years. They believe we are living it now and it started in 2005 + 7 yrs = 2012.
The 14 signs of Crist's return, 12 of the 14 have been fulfilled, 9 in the recent few years.

The Mayans have made a calendar which state the end of the world so people have been studying up if such would happen, "better be prepared for the end" is what goes through most people's minds. Monks have astral projected through meditation for enlightment and discovery, saints have done the same but to communicate with their God. What you can do is to learn what they do if you're worried of the upcoming events in this lifetime. I've posted a couple of links, first is the site itself which contain articles that seem to help quite a bit of people regardless of knowledge in this field, I've been referred here and have had a pretty good run so far, it seems that some people get a hold of this in just a matter of days (all depends on yourself too). Be sure to register (it's free so don't worry on that, lol) on the forum and ask whatever questions you have that the articles don't seem to cover for you. By learning meditation (very basic meditation) method this way you can get through and learn all you need to know.

It's already happening right now! The bible code says 2012 but they're all wrong. The world is going to go on for a hundred more years or so, no nuclear holocausts or anything. At least that's what I "see". Because we're in the last hundred years or so the awakening is happening because peoples answers have not been answered acceptably by all other religions. If your not on the train get on it! You can only become a better person because of it!

In 2012 , we will have an encounter with an asteroid/meteor. One of two things will happen. 1. It will hit and dis troy life on earth, or we will blow it into many pieces. If we do survive, then yes, we will have a spiritual awakening. ( for sure) If not then our spirits will have to find another place to live.

The people of America have turned it's back towards God. Unfortunately, I think it's going to take another 9/11 or Katrina-like catastrophe to truly awake this nation spiritually. I believe God has already called upon America and many have chosen to not heed His call. May God have mercy upon the United States.

I believe that spiritually we are on the thresh-hold of something huge about to happen although I don't believe it is anything to do with christianity. There seems to be a huge surge of awakening to spirituality at the moment. Whatever it is, I am excited about it.
