Many atheists happen to be mean and/ or bitter outwardly, but most Christians seem nice on the outside but turn out to be very angry and hate-filled on the inside (just look at some of their answers!). At least the atheists show their true selves which I happen to think is better.
p.s. I am neither a christian nor an atheist.

Do you think my cat looks mean? This picture was taken right after Katrina, and he was still a little upset. He's really a sweetheart.
Fanmail, most Christians tend to lump together anybody who is non-Christian and label them as 'atheists'. I do consider myself an atheist, anyway, because there is no god that exists outside of myself. Paganism is my favorite way to express myself.

I agree, to each his own, but I think they are just tired of getting so much crap for what they believe in. I'm not athiest, I'm also not Christian, and I can't tell you how many times I've had people feel it was okay to come up to me and tell me I'm going to hell, simply because I don't believe the same way they do. I'm sorry, doesn't it say somewhere in the Bible not to judge others? Perhaps if more people would practice what they preach there wouldn't be so many angry looking avatars.

nicely made element! I agree 100%. even besides the undeniable fact that i do no longer trust there's a heaven or a hell, i comprehend what the idea Christianity has about them. to need the utmost poor element on someone for all eternity is definitely a merciless and vile act. i does no longer want eternal discomfort and suffering on all people, yet they throw the word about casually.

Personally, I think my avatar is pretty funny. But I do get the occasional email from a fundie insulting my costume.
This cracks me up quite a bit, because first of all... that's not me in the picture. And secondly, yes, I agree the costume is ridiculous. That's kind of... the point.

My avatar looked really stupid with a smiley face so I chose the frown, but my avatar is much sadder than I am!
For the person who commented on 'the names they use', I made the radical step of using my own name... Pretty evil, eh?

That picture of Evil Jesus had to go (actually it was your lord and savior Jim Caviezel). It's been replaced with a happy, snuglly, lovable Golden Calf.

Perhaps they are really Christians in disguise. They are hiding their true identity from the church. Run, run the nuns are coming!!!!!!!!!!!
No really, Atheists and Christians are all people. We all get in a bad mood sometimes, especially when others are thumping on your belief systems.
