Isn't Mexicali right in the middle of a desert? I wouldn't expect many fish in the Rio Grande.

there is a large canal (l think part of the all american canal) just north of town. you're not far from the colorado river, salton sea, alamo river and the new river which is poison. catfish, stripers, tilapia, corvina, sargo, bass and more. i'm speaking of the u.s. side north of calexico actually. it might be the alamo which is bad. l might have the rivers reversed.
