What does it mean when a girl says she isn't over her old boyfriend but says she wants to hang out with you a lot over the summer after you ask her if there is something left between the two of you. We are ex's

Well, it really just depends on what type of girl she is, if she is kinda of a sleaze then she may just be using you, but if she isnt then she could really need you to help her sort out her feelings. You may feel used, but you really might not be. I went through a stage similar to that when I got with this guy (who now, by the way, is my husband) and its really just going to depend on your emotional availability. If you still want to be with this girl then pursue it. It might turn out for the best. Just dont ask her why, because she isnt going to know. To this day, I still care about my ex, but it would never come in between me and my husband now. We even broke up while we were still dating so that we both could "soul search" but we found ourselves back in each others arms with a marriage liscence in our hands. So best of luck to you.

I don't think she is a player at all-- She is been honest and is just asking you to hang out -not to have sex-..... She feels comfortable with you and probably enjoys your company more than anyone else's. Sometimes we cant help what we feel and unfortunately in your case she is no longer w/ her ex but there are some feelings left behind---
But who cares, with time they will eventually fade away and for the time being she is not promising anything to you right?? So just offer her your friendship and have fun during the summer. Just be careful and don't fall for someone that just wants to be friends!

Since there's no strings between you, you might be a safe avenue for her to deal with right now and I'm guessing you're fun to hang out with also. I hope she isn't using you though.
