We are made in God's image in the sense that we have his same qualities. The ability to love, be kind, compassionate, caring, etc. We aren't in his physical image because he is a spirit and we are flesh and blood :)

No. Belly buttons are what the umbilical cord attaches to. If God is the creator of Man, then he wouldn't need one.

The "image" is our soul, not our physical bodies. So, no, there would be no belly button.

Or in other words, being made "in the image of God" has to do with our possessing what are known as His communicable attributes: will, emotions, intellect, creativity, etc.
"Image" has nothing to do with physical form.

Pneuma ho Theos. "God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship Him in Spirit and Light." Spirits, as far as I know, do not have belly buttons; we were created in the "Spiritual image of God." Our spirits don't have belly buttons, as far as I know.

We were created in His image... but not in the sense of flesh and bone... rather, in the sense of possession of the mind and the ability to think. The ability to reason. The ability to recognize good and evil- and to have the free will to choose either to our pleasing. We are able to feel complex emotions... love, hatred, happiness, sadness, boredom.
