Any brand will work as long as the wrench fits the bolt you're trying to turn. Snap-On is kind of like the Harley-Davidson of tools... You're paying more for the name than for the tool.

If you're going to be a professional mechanic, good quality tools will pay for themselves over the years, but Craftsman will turn bolts just as well as Snap-On, at a much more realistic cost.

Britool, Proto, Starlwhille, Craftsman and Facom are all good makes, although Snap-On do very good 12 point 1/4 drive deep sockets. Their ratcheting Dogbones are OK as well.

From what I've seen so far in my training, sometimes you have to "modify" your tools using a grinding wheel, heating and bending etc in order to make them fit where they dont want to. I'd just go with craftsman, thats what I use. However, snapon tends to have thinner side walls on their sockets. There are some places my sockets wont go.

if you live in US, then snap-on tools are the best and they are approved by FAA.
Otherwise, stahlwille tools are OK too
always check round finish of tool in order to avoid scratches on A/C surfaces
