Cast up the river and fish the current back to you. They best bait that I have found is a zoom super fluke. Cast up just reel in fast enough to keep the slack out of the line while you twitch the rod tip. Also a ISG dream tube works well with a renegade stand up jig head. The weight of the jig head will keep the tube down on the bottom and use a slow retrieve to simulate a crawfish. Make sure you stop it and start it from time to time and allow it to rise and fall with the current. However you will always want to cast up the river and let the current work with you instead of against you. Never cast down stream.

by far the best way is float fishing either a stickfloat or avon style chub float casting just off the main flow of water .evenly space your shot down the line for best presentation and let the float drift with the current remember to let your line out through your fingers so your float flows smoothly downstream .you will master this technique with practice ,also you will find the better fish will tend to hole up in the slower water at the end of a fast run.enjoy !!!it is a great way to fish .tight lines mate!
