Okay I am not by any cause getting on here talking bad about Bush. I personally do not like him, but I would never force my opinion on anyone in that matter. Anyhow here is the question. Now that they have set up the government in Irac (or however u spell it) why is our troops still not coming home. My brother is over there and I worry about him all the time. Anyhow; that's my question...

Even though they have set up their own government in Iraq along with their own constitution, they are not stable enough to allow us to pull out quite yet. We (the coalition) are helping them build their own troop strengths to an acceptable level for us to leave. You will see a reduction in coalition troops as Iraq increases theirs. If we are short sighted and pull out too soon, we will leave the Iraqi people at risk of being over ran by the insurgents (which by the way, most of them are not Iraqi's at all). and it will result in us having to re-deploy back there. So the best course of action is to finish what we start and then we will go home. We all worry about our loved ones that are off to war. Its a natural feeling.

Anyone that thinks a single man, even a president (George Bush) can be held solely accountable for this war on terror, is incredibly ignorant. Since this question has already been answered many times over, in my opinion, I have only one additional point to make. Yes, we still have troops in Germany and in many other places in the world. They are there for strategic purposes but they are not being killed or imposing American will. While the possibility exists that we will maintain a military presence in Iraq that does not mean our soldiers will forever be in danger there.

Our troops are over there still because they want to make sure the government of Iraq doesn't need any more help. I personally don't support Bush either, and I hope the troops come home soon.
P.S. I wish your brother luck.

Sadly, my friend, the troops are never coming home. Anyone who states anything different is kidding themselves.

While our troops get killed everyday, we are building city sized military bases to accomodate troops on a long term basis.
While rebuilding Iraq is faltering, the only project that is being built on time is our new Embassy. The largest Embassy in the world.

Leaving???
Hardly, we are making a new nation-state.

Having a government and having a stable government with an army that will follow the rule of law are different. The Iraq army is taking responsibility for a province at a time. Once all of Iraq is under Iraqi military control we don't need to defend/protect them.

I hope your brother is safe. Tell him I thank him for his service.

Lets go back to world war 2. After we installed a government in Germany, how long did it take to get our troops out? I'll give you a hint, no one knows, because we STILL have troops there.

God bless America and President Bush
