I have a boyfriend, that I am very happy with. However, this guy from a car dealership who sold me my car seems to think otherwise.
It started with an email. He kept calling my work and leaving messages on my voice mail asking if I liked the car. I had his email from his business card and I just decided to email him quick.
Then he responded and proceeded to ask me out. I said that I was very committed to my boyfriend (whom he met because he came with me to get the car!).
Then I thought I would tell him I have single friends. He still seems to think I am interested in him! How many times do I have to tell him that I am not interested? I need help!
I know sometimes I am passive and I don't want to come off as a jerk, but I don't want him to try to screw me over in my lease...
Thanks all for you help!

I emailed him in the first place, instead of calling back to say that I liked the car. I just figured a quick email would have been ok....I have told him many times I am not interested in him.

First off you should never worry about your lease. I would start a journal of what has happended and have concrete eveidence to back it up (Phone bills for when he calls, or emails from when he's written you). Tell him to back off with out being mean. If he still contiues inform him that you will begin to take action if he doesn't step off. If he still continues, speak with his boss. Inform his boss that sexual harrasment of customers is unacteptable and if he does not correct this situation immediatly that you will proceed to take legal action. If his boss does not remedy anything call the Better Business Bueru (sp?), and speak to a lawyer or court offical. Someone should be able to assist you from that point on. (And of course show them the journal and "evidence" you have been keeping ahold of this whole time)

As long as you keep responding to this person, he will continue to be "encouraged" regardless of the words you say (actions in this regard will speak louder). If you have already told him you're not interested, put a filter on your e-mail that blocks him. If he calls you at work, let him know - once and unambiguously - that you are not interested and to stop calling on you immediately. Delete all calls from him after this. After a time his interest should atrophy and the calls should cease. If not, contact his supervisor at the dealership and report him. Your lease (you said you bought your car?) should not be affected (bad for business, you see?). If he still continues to bother you then legal action will be required.

You can do this, in a few ways:

1) Tell the guy to bugger off, plain and simple. Don't try to be modest about it. Do it gently and peacefully, prolly' accompanied by a co-worker.

2) You can hire the local thugs, and have them give this guy a nice time.

3) You can hire a local thug to slap him every day first thing, for the next three months. With the message : LEAVE her alone.

Finally, if nothing works, you can simply return his car to him. And be done with it.

Have tried having your boyfriend call the guy up and say to leave you alone, or else he's going to report him to the owner of the car dealership? Odds are he could get in a lot of trouble for this kind of nonsense.

Tell him you are looking for a man that will make a lot of money so that you can go shopping and that you want to marry really soon and have lots of babies. Most men will run like hell.

Contact his boss. This is a type of sexual harassment, and you have grounds to sue if it doesn't stop. At least this way if you go to his boss, his boss will know about it and hopefully have him stop. Or better yet contact a lawyer, they will know exactly what to do in this type of scenario.

It sounds like you are handling it well. Let him know that you are happy with the vehicle, but that you find it inappropriate to be in a relationship with him, mention that you are very commited to your man. A simple, "I am flattered, but no thanks". Worst case scenerio tell your boyfriend, he might be able to help.
