Yes we do. Although we talk a lot about recycling and we are making a good effort toward that goal, there is still a "disposable" mentality running rapid through society. Disposable diapers, razors, dishes, and even our cars. It used to be things like this were made to be used and reused and used again.

No doubt about it. We have more stuff (TVs, cars, washing machines, airplanes, fast food containers, and on and on) now that we did even a few years ago, and way, way more than hundreds of years ago. It all takes resources to make and use and IS waste when it wears out.

Yes of course, the amount of goods consumed per capita increases every day in developed countries and slower on underdeveloped ones. Also since new materials are being used, more catalyst are being dumped, poisoning the earth.

yes, b/c now we have machines which require more resources and the result is waste from these machines1 so yea!
