Why is it that a suposedly Christian person can sit and belittle others beliefs (life style, ect) and feel superior, and it is ok in thier eyes? Didn't Jesus preach tolerance? Did i miss the "its ok to be a bigot" class in Sunday school?

So you know, I was raised Christian, and was disgusted by the hypocracy in the religion.

I said 'suposedly', which means people that claim to be christian, but do not act it. Jeez, people, no need for hostilities.

If you can show me where Jesus was ever tolerant, of the hypocrites of His Day, then i'll agree with you.

I don't think that any truly Christian person is going to belittle others for the way that they believe, or feel superior. Jesus did teach love and acceptance for all men, but the reason Christians share the way they believe is because we want people to avoid hell, which is something you can't get out of once you are there.
As far as the hypocrisy, I have experienced it, too, and the only thing that I can tell you is that some people want to pretend that they're something they're not really inside. Only God can judge and help them grow as well, and I wish you wouldn't judge all Christians by those few.

Okay wow I have answered this one about 10 times this week. Well I am not belittling anyones beliefs. And if you think that is what Christians are doing you missed a lot in Sunday School class. No Jesus Didn't preach tolerance as we know it today. In fact He preached that His teachings would cause disagreements and division. He came so that we could first have everlasting life through His death and bodily resurrection. The point is that we have to tell people the truth. Now it is their choice not to accept it or accept it. If we are both on a plane that is about to crash and pilot announces that everyone on board must grab a parachute and jump off and you grab the one with the dirty laundry would you think I was being intolerant for telling you that is a bag of dirty laundry. I would hope not. I would hope you would thank me for telling you the truth and showing you it is a bag of dirty laundry. Now using this same analogy if I don't tell you that the bag is full of dirty laundry and then you die because I didn't tell you doesn't that make me accountable for your death because I knew the truth. In every court of law it does. I think it is called neglegent homicide. Because I knew that you parachute was really a bag of dirty laundry and did nothing to stop you from jumping with it I am responsible. Hence the same thing with Christians. God holds us accountable if we don't tell people the truth of God. See Ezekiel 33:1-11. I would hate to get to heaven(since I don't know when or where I might go) and have God tell me that you know you didn't tell those people on Yahoo Answers the truth when you had a perfect opportunity to tell them the truth. I answer to God. If that sound arrogant, again it is only the truth. I am more afraid of Him who can kill both my body and soul. Besides I don't want to see anyone being punished for me not telling them the truth.

I seriusly doubt an arab preaches or care for pure things, sure some speak aloud their delusions and trauma, but then again Jesus could not have been a freak, for agnus dei are very apreciated and wanted, even romans went for his goodies and asked around to find him, go figure. It is for sure he was very appealing and atracted women alike, for married and whores wanted some alright. He could say did not preach, tolerate or care for religions, no true man cares for these foolishness. Now if he was a freak, more can tell on being freaks than eroders. I am convinced he too was a true sent and convicted into living with deluded and ugly people. That is no mistery, who would ever want to get into "agnus dei" panorama if not to evolve the further and get some more action with no effort, thank you.

you would be surprised to know that the only religion that I have honestly noticed that doesnt belittle other beliefs would be jehovas witness. Ive been to their church a couple times and never did they mention another's religion as for lifestyles they talk about how to have a healthy, family relationship, teen issues etc but never do they say this is the way you have to live or else! no they just give u advice and if u want to take then good for you and if not then theyre not going to force u to do it... Now im no Jehova's Witness but if i had to pick a religion I would go with them no doubt ...

Oh to be judgemental is the cornerstone of the christian cult. Just take a look at the answers on this board for example.
Pious Fraud is another tactic they use to dupe the gullible into joining thier cult.

Anyone convinced they are right in all their beliefs runs the risk of arrogance and intolerance. It's not limited to Christians, or even limited to the religious. Christians should hold themselves to the standard of love, but some seem to lose sight of that.

If someone is doing this they should repent of their sin. A Chrisian is to live a transformed life. We are called upon to hate the sin, but to love the person. Thus they can disagree with some of the things that you do, but they should love you as a person. You should accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Everyone makes mistakes and a individual's attitude towards others shouldn't matter to true believers in God because they will be judged based on what they did to further God's kingdom, not what the hypocrites did.
