Sometimes they pull out around a merge lane when the merger is merging slower than they are. However the merger then achieves higher speeds and a bunch of impatient jerks in the left left start passing in the right lane, thus the slow vehicle seems to get locked into the left lane until all the jerks pass him.
Just take a chill pill, relax and enjoy the ride, see the sites. In the end your extra speed doesn't save you all that much time anyway.

What about the people that don't know how a four way stop works? I think at some point in time people must take a written tests over again. The perfect time would be when you go to renew a driver's license. I think a refresher on the rules of the road are needed.
A big problem where I live, no one wants to yield or get over for an emergency vehicle. I got honked at a green light by the lady behind me. To my left crossing the intersection- a fire truck.

To get on other peoples nerves. I'm joking! because when you get into the left lane there is always someone slower than you, so you stay in the right lane to keep from getting behind them.

The left lane is meant for people to pass other people who are going too slow in the right lane. So traffic on the left hand side usually goes faster than it does on the right.

This is a problem I face every single day in Houston traffic!!!! I try not to let it bother me but when I see this day in and day out, it totally pisses me off! People should know how to drive and the rules of driving before they go out onto any major highway/freeway!
What really pisses me off is when you get trapped BEHIND a slow driver in the LEFT lane and BESIDE a slow driver in the RIGHT lane...and neither one of them will speed up...so there's no way out!!!! Freakin idiots!

Because they are either ignorant of proper driving etiquette, or they are too lazy to change lanes, or just plain selfish! Regardless, they should all be given tickets for doing it!
If you're not passing, get in the right lane!

Come to Atlanta to see the phenomenom in action. Its amazing actually. And to boot - no one knows how to use a blinker here either. Nothing better than a moron, with a cell phone to their ear crossing over 5 lanes on I - 285 to "exit", without a blinker or a clue. Its more exciting than driving in Manhattan...

They are off in la-la land.
They failed drivers ed and dont' know??
They are on their cell phones and think they are going the same speed.
They are drunk,, and also think they are driving faster than they really are.
Had a flat tire in the left lane and don't want to get another one?

Because the police will not do anything to them. It is illegal in most, if not all, states to cruise in the passing lane. No enforcement, people keep doing it.
