I have heard that girls can be potty-trained earlier than boys but at what age can this be done?

i finally potty trained my daughter around 2 1/2 (cause her daycare made me feel pressured that else she may not advance with her class in the fall). anyhow, here's what they advised me - which worked! take one entire weekend and devote your time to just her. let her wear only panties (this is gonna be messy but it worked for me). try going with her about like 30 mins-1 hr after she eats. or maybe more often.. and don't make her feel bad when she has her accidents. just say something like, "yeah.. that didn't feel too good did it? so when u have to go, make sure u just go to the potty." anyhow, i spent my entire saturday doing this, but by the time we were about to go to sleep - she got it! and sunday she was 100% perfect. ..she'll still occasionally have accidents - but they're very, very rare. good luck!!!

My daughter was potty-trained at 1-1/2 years old. I brought the "Training potty" out when she was one and wanted to use it right way.

any age its never too early to start training anyone for the almighty toilet. in fact swimming is the same way. the more they see that the potty is where they should go even if they are too young to understand in full yet, the better off you will be when they do understand. its just like a puppy, you just keep putting it in the grass till it goes in the grass all the time. :)

Every child is different. I have 2 girls (now 20 and 19) and they potty trained at aroung 19-24 months old.

Never done it but I am going to have a potty-trained one and half year old.

Oh, and by the way...when I do have a kid, it's going to be a boy. They just seem easier to raise.

at about 2, start introducing the idea a little more (buy a potty chair, pretty panties, a baby who pees on a potty, a book about the potty chair). Hopefully she has seen you go "pee pee", so she may want to go like mommy too. Little girls are easier than boys. (no, i am not some freako, i am a mom)

When the child begins to have an interest in the bathroom, they are ready. Girls - if they are particular, don't like to be wet and therefore will remember quicker to get to the toilet before they go. Boys - learned this one the hard way - won't actually go ON themselves if you try to just let them roam around w/o a diaper. However it seems like girls have night time accidents more than boys.

2 years!! Buy pretty panties for them and tell them only big girls can wear them and when they are ready to wear them to ask you. Let them have a couple of accidents in them, but explain that if she has any accidents in them she can't wear them anymore. Also if she has pull-ups, of course use the cooler ones at the beginning of training, but get plain looking ones when you think she is ready to be in the panties. I would also keep her in pull-ups at night until she hasn't had any accidents for at least 5 days in a row!!

Maybe 3-4 or 1-2. It depends on how smart they are!
