Any quest for knowledge is vital for life as we know it to continue. Not a sin. :)

I have 2 cats. So do I have 19 souls (one for me!) floating around my apartment?? I thought it was getting a little crowded...

The idea that cats have nine lives is an expression because they're so adventurous that it surprises people how often these cats manage to escape from a sticky situation, like the whole idea of how they can jump from a two-story building and still live. Which I think is true. Maybe not two stories, but it's more than I could jump from and live.

According to the Catholic faith, no animal makes it to Heaven because they don't have a soul, but I don't believe that. I think that any animal that is loved by someone will be in Heaven when you die. As for curiosity, well, it *can* be a sin. It depends what you're sticking your nose into. =P For a cat, though, it wouldn't be a sin.

No, your cat doesn't have 9 souls, and the 9 lives thing is just superstition, not really true. I mean, what does that say? That a cat can get run over by a car and "resurect" and continue until 9 lives are up??? I don't really know if there is a heaven perse for them. Maybe...and no, curiosity is NOT a sin. ;)

No, cats have 9 lives. No one on Earth actually knows what happens after death. Curiosity is not a sin.

All cats have the same soul, so you can have one cat die and get a new one immediately. Curiosity is not a sin, but can kill. Chilixa

Have you ever lied, stolen, used God's name in vain. These are a few of the Ten Commandments. It's appointed unto man once to die, then judgment. When you die God will judge you by His Ten Commandments. You will be guilty, and if you are guilty, you will be sent to Hell. Jesus came to die on a cross and rise again to pay the debt for your sins, If you Repent, which means to ask forgiveness and turn from your sins, and put your Trust in Jesus Christ, you will be accepted into Heaven. This is the only way.

I don't think catholics believe that animals have souls?

Animals are God's creations but they are not "in His image" with immortal souls. And yada yada yada.
