In my humble opinion, I believe that Gold is no big deal to God - Gold is to God what pavement is to us.

It's beautiful, but to God, no big deal. You can have all the gold in the world - practice today by collecting leaves - that's about how much the gold will be worth, because there will be so much of it in abundance.

Well, If you make to heaven, obviously, Greed was not a problem for you.... Heaven will have lots of things there that we wont even have a need or greed for because we are in heaven and God is going to give us all that we need!

gold is a natural beauty, people and society puts a price or value on beauty. possibly in heaven all the things we put value on and use to set our status above others isnt viewed valubale in heaven. its an everyday beauty that we all are able to enjoy!

Maybe they only have the appearance of gold, beauty, that's what I think, not actual gold.
